Area of expertise

  • 15 years of mental health nursing experience, including senior practitioner for a crisis team, specialist in adolescent psychosis, and practice development to improve participatory practices with service users.
  • Main interest is acute mental health care particularly improving risk management practices.
  • Teach pre and post graduate students, module lead research on new nursing degree, and currently module lead for mental health dissertations.
  • Lead the CPD module of Working with a Person Experiencing a Mental Health Crisis - involving crisis management in mental health care.
