About me
I am a Wallscourt Research Fellow within the School of Applied Sciences. I previously completed both my undergraduate degree and Masters in Research (MRes) here at UWE before undertaking my PhD, entitled 'Investigating the role of the PGE2-EP4 signalling pathway in colorectal cancer', in partnership with Nxera Pharma.
Area of expertise
Identifying novel therapeutic targets for colorectal cancer treatment.
Utilising a range of 'omics' data analyses, including proteomic, transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis followed by in vitro validation for patient stratification and identification of new therapeutic targets.
Establishing the role of the tumour microenvironment in disease progression.
Investigating how features of the tumour microenvironment, including hypoxia and immune cell infiltration, promote disease.
Investigating the molecular mechanisms behind tumorigenesis.
Using pharmacological and genetic approaches to understand the signalling pathways and their complex interactions involved in malignancy.
