About me

I am an enterprise educator with a passion for team coaching, self-directed learning and experiential learning. I am a Team Coach (Lecturer) on the pioneering BA (Hons) Business: Team Entrepreneurship programme within Bristol Business School. My role involves coaching a team of entrepreneurial students (known as Team Entrepreneurs), empowering them to manage their own learning and work effectively as a team through creating and delivering entrepreneurial projects and ventures.

I became a fellow of the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education in 2015, having completed the International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme. In August 2018 I was elected by my peers in the sector to the Board of Directors at Enterprise Educators UK, the leading independent membership network for enterprise educators. I served a three-year term on the board supporting a wide range of initiatives such as research and professional development funding programmes, the annual International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference and National Enterprise Educators Awards as well as contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation.

I've been at UWE since January 2018, initially as Enterprise Skills Consultant within the Employability and Enterprise department which involved leading on the programme of extracurricular enterprise education across the institution and managing the Enterprise Skills team. In October 2018 I joined the Faculty of Business and Law as Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship within the Aldridge Institute for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. My role involved developing a CPD programme for primary and secondary school teachers on embedding and delivering effective enterprise education, delivering an entrepreneurship summer school for secondary school students and delivering collaborative international projects within entrepreneurship education with partner institutions in Colombia and Georgia.

I joined the Team Entrepreneurship programme as a Team Coach in July 2019 and, in addition to team coaching, I am a module leader across two modules as well as taking a lead role for addressing challenges around equality, diversity and inclusion. Since joining Team Entrepreneurship I have co-authored three book chapters, focusing on the evolution of the Team Entrepreneurship pedagogy, the professional identity of Team Entrepreneurship alumni and the entrepreneurial intentions, motivations and barriers for female Team Entrepreneurs.

Before joining UWE I worked as an Entrepreneurship Advisor within Cardiff Metropolitan University where I supported the delivery of the Welsh Government's Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy. In September 2017 I was selected as one of 10 enterprise educators from across the UK to participate in a study visit to Japan to share best practice in enterprise education. Here I presented at the British Embassy on Cardiff Met's approach to enterprise education as well as the Welsh Government support for entrepreneurship.
