About me
I am currently working on an Integrated Care Academy-funded project, based in the Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing and Bristol Business School, and in collaboration with SAH Diagnostics at Future Space. We are investigating barriers to accessing prostate cancer screening among global majority communities in Bristol. We aim to ascertain how a mobile screening unit would better facilitate access in such communities.
I have completed an Accelerated Knowledge Transfer project through a collaboration between the UWE and Via, supported by Innovate UK. The project aimed to explore barriers and facilitators to accessing community engagements to support with the recovery from drug and alcohol dependency. We used qualitative insights from Via service users to develop a toolkit of recommendations rooted in asset-based community engagement, in order to better support access to assets.
I hold an MSc in Public Health and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from UWE, Bristol. My professional experience includes two internships with the Adukwu Research Group, where I undertook essential oil and Candida spp. research, and a multidisciplinary internship at the intersection of the Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing and the Bristol Business School at UWE where we assessed the mental health and wellbeing of social media influencers.
