About me
I am an orthopaedic clinical researcher with a background in physiotherapy, My special interest is in all aspects of the long term follow up of joint replacements. This includes the methods of assessment and radiographic evaluation, the role and effect of materials, service design and delivery, and the health professionals involved in providing arthroplasty surveillance.
Area of expertise
I am a Clinical Academic, combining a role in the NHS with research on the same topic. My clinical expertise is in the long-term follow-up of hip and knee replacements including clinical assessment and review, differential diagnosis and arthroplasty radiographic image interpretation.
I am actively involved in supporting the development of other advanced practitioners from non-medical professions through supervision and/or coaching and mentoring.
I also provide supervision of research projects to medical and non-medical students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of education.
