About me
Dr Lindsay Woodford is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Programme Leader for the MSc Sport & Exercise Psychology course. She is also a chartered sport psychologist registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council); an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society; a Registered Supervisor for the Qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology (Stage 2) leading to Chartership and a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority.
In addition to her academic role at UWE, she works as practitioner sport psychologist. Her work focuses on enhancing the performance and wellbeing of individuals and teams through the application of sport psychology principles.
She has worked with high performance athletes, coaches and sport science professionals across a wide range of sports as diverse as ballroom dancing to Olympic wrestling.
Lindsay is a member of the Optimising Performance and Engagement (OPE) theme of the Psychological Sciences Research Group (PSRG).
