About me

Lindsay is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Co-Programme Leader for the MSc Sport & Exercise Psychology course. She is also a chartered sport psychologist registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council); an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society; a Registered Supervisor for the Qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology (Stage 2) leading to Chartership and a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority.

In addition to her academic role at UWE, she has developed The Sporting Mindset; a sport psychology consultancy business that enhances the performance and wellbeing of individuals and teams through the application of sport psychology principles

She has worked with professional sport teams, athletes, coaches, parents and sport science professionals across a range of sports. Her career highlight was providing sport psychology support to Bath Rugby team and in particular the development and implementation of a transitional protocol to help increase the number of academy players successfully achieving first team contracts.

Lindsay is a member of the Optimising Performance and Engagement (OPE) theme of the Psychological Sciences Research Group (PSRG).
