Dr Lizzie Johnson

Lizzie is Programme Director (International), with responsibility for shaping and delivering the organisation’s international growth strategy. In this role, she provides strategic leadership across global partnerships and programmes, supporting sustainable expansion, consortium development and international collaboration, while ensuring organisational values are embedded within international engagement.

 

Prior to this role, Lizzie held senior leadership positions focused on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and Health and Wellbeing, where she led the design and delivery of a number of institution‑wide strategies. These included the Anti‑Racism Strategy, Mental Wealth Strategy, Health and Wellbeing Strategy, EDI Strategy, and Healthy University Strategy, as well as contributing to the delivery of the One City Health Plan. Her work in these roles centred on strategic change, systems leadership and embedding inclusive practice at scale.

 

Lizzie’s previous roles involved building and sustaining strong cross‑sector partnerships with local, national and third‑sector organisations, including local authorities, NHS partners, sector bodies and specialist equality and health organisations. This experience continues to inform her approach to international programme leadership, partnership development and long‑term organisational growth.
