About me

Louis Laurence is part of the Science Communication Unit, where he works part-time as Production Editor for Science for Environment Policy; a free news and information service published by the Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV) of the European Commission. It is designed to help busy policymakers keep up-to-date with the latest environmental research findings needed to design, implement and regulate effective policies.

Area of expertise

Louis' has a background in investigative journalism and biological science. He works at the interface between journalism and research including investigating the tobacco industry and its influence in science. He is also a freelance journalist, science communciation trainer and podcaster and his main a reas of expertise are health, the environment, corporate power and policy.
