Area of expertise

Lucy is a critical psychologist using qualitative methods, particularly discourse analysis and Critical Discursive Psychology (CDP). Her research is feminist-informed and takes an intersectional approach. Lucy's research particularly focuses on whether masculinities may be becoming more equitable, and, or, how differences between genders are maintained across differing contexts.

Other research areas of interest extend to gender (in)equalities more broadly, and gendered understandings around creating families.

Lucy is a member of Identities, (In)equalities and Communities theme within the Social and Public Policy Research Group.
