About me

I am a highly motivated, student-focused and research-informed early career lecturer in audio and music technology with a practice-led postgraduate and professional specialism in audio-visual post-production for film, games and digital-media.

My professional portfolio encompasses freelance work as a sound editor and sound recordist having worked on a number of high profile projects with clients such as The Guardian, eBay, Microsoft and theSpace.org - as well as for a number of independent digital-media and film producers, both domestic and international (particularly in Germany and Russia). My work as a sound editor has achieved notable international exposure and recognition – with a number of feature and short films on the international festival circuit, as well as, global distribution via VOD platforms (e.g. Netflix, Prime Video etc.). In addition to film, my work has contributed to computer games available across the major consoles and I am collaborating with immersive VR developers to deliver cutting edge spatial audio soundtracks.

I am a studio lead for Impulse, UWE Bristol's in house audio & music technologies innovation and enterprise studio which bridges students to their industry by enabling authentic professional experiences through paid, real-world projects. I am the current Faculty Business Associate for the creative technologies cluster in CSCT and am responsible for encouraging and supporting collaborations between staff and industry.

Alongside the supervision of Impulse Studio projects, my research continues to develop the multi-disciplinary scope of my MA (Res) by addressing a blend of industrial, pedagogic and creative concerns within the creative audio industries.
