About me
Martyn is an internationally respected BAFTA and EMMY award winning Re-recording Mixer with a track record of crafting sound for high-profile programmes including Sir David Attenborough’s natural history documentaries. He is a music graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and also has a post graduate teaching qualification at University College Cardiff. Martyn can be found playing trumpet in some of the well known bands, ensembles and orchestras around Bristol. Before joining UWE full time he was a visiting lecturer here for 9 years. He is committed to passing on his experience and craft expetise to the next generation of sound professionals.
Area of expertise
A craft professional, with more than 25 years experience in the BBC delivering high-quality sound tracks for Radio as well as Television, exceeding the needs and aspirations of clients across a wide variety of genres. He is a popular public speaker and has given talks/seminars on sound as far afield as Finland.
