Dr Mubeen Ghafoor

Dr Mubeen Ghafoor is Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Data Science in the Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies and working on a Newton Fund Institutional project since Jan 2020. Dr Mubeen has over ten (10) years of research, teaching, and development experience in the fields of computer science with specialization in computer vision, data analytics and machine learning and applications. Dr. Mubeen completed PhD in 2014 with specialization in Computer Vision (biometrics) and has published over 20 research articles. Dr Mubeen was successful in securing funding from The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education, STINT, Sweden and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. Before his current employment, Dr. Mubeen worked as Assistant Professor at Dept. of Computer Science, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). He also has track record of strong collaboration with the industry and has a number of successful MS thesis supervisions.
