About me
Dr Adenike (Nike) Moradeyo is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Engineering and Management at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, in the College of Arts, Technology and Environment. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Dr Moradeyo obtained her PhD in Management (Operations Management) from the Lagos Business School at Pan-Atlantic University in Nigeria in 2015. Dr Moradeyo has several years of research experience and teaching experience in institutions of higher learning, both in the UK and overseas (Nigeria, Canada and the USA). Dr Nike has also worked in consulting, manufacturing, and financial institutions. she has held diverse leadership roles in industry and institutions of higher of learning, including Head of Department, Academic Senate Member, Deputy Quality Control Director, and Assistant Branch Manager.
Dr Nike has published articles in notable journals and presented at UK and international conferences. Dr Nike has also served as a reviewer for several international journals. Dr Moradeyo carries out industry-relevant and impactful research. Her previous research on supply chain risk management examined supply chain disruptions in the manufacturing sector in a developing context, recommending actionable solutions for managing them. Nike’s current research on ethical supply chains highlights unfair practices within the UK industry and proposes practical solutions for addressing them. Dr. Nike is experienced in teaching qualitative and quantitative modules such as Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Strategy, Research Methods, and many others at higher institutions of learning.
Dr Nike has won several awards for her research and leadership, including the Best in Session Paper award at the Global Conference on Business and Finance in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Dr Moradeyo also won the Best in Session Paper award at the Global Conference on Business and Finance in Las Vegas, USA in 2011, the Outstanding Research Award, Las Vegas, USA, 2019 from the Institute for Business and Finance Research, USA, and the Best Head of Department Award from the Commerce and Management Unit, NSRIC Inc. , Ontario, Canada, 2021. Dr Nike's great ethics are evident in her teaching, both remotely and in person. Dr Moradeyo demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of diverse teaching strategies and techniques and effectively implements them in classroom settings to promote inclusivity, facilitate knowledge dissemination, foster creativity, encourage collaboration and support students' academic progress.
Dr Nike served as the keynote speaker at the third CCSE online seminar series of the African-European Climate Change and Sustainable Energy series, which focused on 'Transnational innovation for sustainable development: the role of Africa in transnational innovation'. October 2021. She also served as the External Relations Lead at the Centre for Sustainable Organisations (CSO) at the University of Leicester in the UK. Her research interests span supply chain risk management, operations management, sustainable supply chain management, innovation, responsible and sustainable production, ethical supply chain management, technology in supply chain management, and consumer behaviour.
