About me

I completed my Master's at the University of Bath. My dissertation involved conducting a network analysis of post-traumatic stress symptoms in adolescents experiencing high adversity in South Africa. I was especially interested in this project because it utilised a novel approach that conceptualises psychological disorders as developing due to active interactions among symptoms. This work was followed by the opportunity to independently conduct a more complicated network analysis for my supervisor.

I am a now a research associate at the Centre for Appearance Research. I work within a team funded by the Vocational Training Charity Trust to contribute to research regarding psychological support, training and public education on visible difference in the UK. This is particularly exciting to me as I am passionate about working to improve the lives of people with disabilities and visible differences. I assist on a range of projects at different stages of the research process. This has included updating a systematic review, cleaning data from a large quantitative survey, conducting a literature search for a qualitative project, and assisting with recruitment for a recently launched survey.
