About me
I am a planner and energy geographer.
I am a lecturer in environmental planning and a chartered town planner. My existing research has focused on the regulation of renewable energy infrastructure. More broadly, my research and teaching interests lie in how the planning system can help achieve net zero ambitions.
My recent work has focused on the use of time-limited planning consents for the regulation of onshore wind and solar farms and how decisions are made regarding the future of this infrastructure (repowering, life-extension and decommissioning). My research won the EnergySHIFTS ECR award for innovative research findings and the ESRC Celebrating Impact Prize for 'Outstanding Early Career Impact'.
- I am a 2021 Planner Woman of Influence
- I am the Secretary of the Royal Geographic Society Planning and Environment Research Group.
- I was a finalist for the Energy UK 2021 Young Energy Professional of the Year award.
- I am the winner of the 2021 ESRC Celebrating Impact Prize for Outstanding Early Career Impact.
- I am a chartered town planner and a member of the RTPI South West Regional Activities Committee.
