About me
Dr Rehenuma Rahman, FHEA, has extensive experience working with charities and sustainability accounting research. She is a Commonwealth Scholar and graduated with a PhD in Accounting from the University of Glasgow. Her thesis received the Adam Smith Business School Award for Excellence in Research Engagement & Citizenship. Since joining at UWE Bristol at 2022, she has received multiple research funding, including the British Academy-Leverhulme Trust Small Research Grant of £10000 for her project ‘Development with Numbers: A case of SDG with Bangladeshi Farmers’; CBL HEIF-funded research ‘Financial Sustainability of small charities: A case of Bristol-based charity Cycle Sisters (2023–24) (£13000) and a UWE Community Grant with the project ‘Different mind equal worth: A case of Autism Independence’ (2025–26) (£3000). Apart from that, she is a reviewer for the British Academy Visiting Fellowship and a mentor in the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Mentorship programme.
