About me
Prior to joining UWE as a Senior Lecturer, I was a police officer for 28 years having served in London's Metropolitan Police and the West Midlands Police. I served in uniformed roles, and as a detective in a specialist investigative and intelligence department.
Area of expertise
I have a deep interest in research and writing, particularly in the broad areas of terrorism and serious and organised crime. I am also interested in the intersection of language and policing and welcome any collaborations in projects in these areas, or enquiries from individuals who wish to undertake a PhD research.
