About me
Romia Lasmin Nafisa is a postgraduate cybersecurity researcher at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), working in collaboration with Bristol Robotics Laboratory. Her research focuses on lightweight homomorphic encryption for dynamic multi-party drone systems, aiming to enable secure and efficient communication in autonomous networks.
Romia holds an MSc in Cyber Security (Distinction) from UWE Bristol and has over six years of experience in cybersecurity and IT systems. Romia is currently working as an Associate Lecture, Cyber Security at UWE Bristol and as Security Analyst at Abbott Laboratories. She previously worked as IT Security Engineer at Stryker UK and financial organisations. Romia is a multi-cycle ICANN Fellow with a strong engagement in DNS security, policy making and digital trust frameworks. Her research interests span cryptography, encryption, privacy-preserving computation, UAV, distributed systems security, and secure AI for resource-constrained environments.
