About me
I am a Senior Lecturer, an experienced academic and researcher in Information Systems and Computing, with extensive experience in higher education, teaching, programme leadership, student supervision, and academic quality assurance. I currently serve as a Programme Leader for MSc Information Technology at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), where I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and supervise a wide range of research projects and dissertations. My academic and professional experience enables me to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, supporting students in developing strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
My research interests focus on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Enterprise Systems, Knowledge Management, and Business Process Management. My research has explored the integration of knowledge management and business process management to support organisational decision-making, particularly within the construction sector. I am also interested in software modernisation and architectural transformation, including the migration from monolithic systems to microservices and serverless architectures, with a particular focus on flexible methods and advanced genetic algorithms.
More recently, my research has extended to the application of Machine Learning and AI to real-world problems, including the analysis of relationships between house prices and crime rates in the UK. I am particularly interested in developing intelligent, scalable, and data-driven solutions that support digital transformation, automation, decision-making, and enterprise-level innovation.
