About me

After a decade in advertising management with McCann and Swordfish Advertising, I built a new career in academia, teaching and developing undergraduate programmes for marketing and events students.

I am now Faculty Academic Director for Learning and Teaching for the faculty of Business and Law, with a focus on graduate employability and continued improvement of the effectiveness of university education. 

I am a Senior Fellow of the HEA and mentor for HEA Fellowship applicants, a Certified Management Business Educator with the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and have been a full-time member of academic teaching staff since 2008. 

I am currently completing an professional doctorate in Education, with a focus on graduate employability and working with employers in teaching. I have also developed a Framework for Inclusive Teaching and use Action Research and Listening approaches to enhance my practice. 

My previous research was in the field of social marketing, with focus on psychological and behavioural change, particularly in areas around physical activity, sexual health, safe driving and fire safety.
