About me

I am a part-time PhD Researcher and occasional Associate Lecturer based in the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences at the University of the West of England, Bristol. I act as Postgraduate Student Representative to the Academic Board, and Student Representative to the Athena SWAN Charter for the departments of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery.

After graduating from the University of Exeter in 2011 with a 2:1 bachelors degree in Psychology, I completed my masters with merit in Health Psychology in 2013 at the University of Bath.

Since 2015 I have also worked as a Student Reviewer for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), and have contributed to numerous published reviews of HE providers. In addition to Higher Education review methods and membership of Taught Degree Awarding Powers scrutiny teams, I undertake Quality Review Visits on behalf of the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) and the Office for Students (OfS).

Area of expertise

My research focuses on the psychosocial impact of Joint Hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes, heritable connective tissue disorders that can cause chronic pain.
