About me

I am a Rheumatology Research Associate in the Academic Rheumatology Unit of the Bristol Royal Infirmary. My role includes coordinating a European study to disseminate European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) recommendations for patient education in inflammatory arthritis.

After graduating from the University of Exeter in 2011 with a 2:1 honours degree in Psychology, I completed a masters with merit in Health Psychology at the University of Bath in 2013.

Area of expertise

As a PhD Researcher, I am exploring the psychosocial impact of Joint Hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes, heritable disorders of connective tissue that can cause chronic pain. My research interests include management of long-term musculoskeletal conditions, invisible/unseen disability and patient education. Alongside my research, I also work as a Student Quality Assurance Reviewer for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
