About me
I graduated with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Bristol in 2009 and completed a PhD on vision, attention and camouflage in 2014. After developing an interest in healthcare, I joined the NHS Graduate Management Scheme and worked at North Bristol Trust, the King’s Fund, and Torbay Hospital as a project support manager in Dermatology.
From 2014, I managed a range of healthcare projects across the South West, including the Emergency General Surgery Review. In 2018, I joined the University of Bath, where I led an evaluation of local social prescribing services, partly funded by Wessex Water, exploring how behavioural approaches might influence prescribing patterns and water quality.
In 2022, I joined the Emergency Care team at UWE as a Senior Research Fellow. I previously worked on AIRWAYS-3, a large pragmatic randomised trial of airway management during in-hospital cardiac arrest, supporting hospital site setup, recruitment and monitoring across England and Wales.
I currently work on SURGE, a national programme focused on the same-day, urgent and emergency care workforce. My role involves working with NHS partners and academic teams to deliver applied workforce research that can support service improvement and better care for patients.
