Dr Shanthi Ramasubramaniam

I am a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing and Programme Lead for the Return to Practice (RTP) programme at UWE Bristol. I have more than 25 years of experience in nursing practice, education, leadership and research across the UK, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and India. My teaching focuses on health promotion, public health, evidence-based practice, nursing leadership and professional development.

I am passionate about supporting students to become confident, compassionate and evidence-informed practitioners. I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and supervise MSc dissertations and service improvement projects. My interests include nursing education, digital innovation in healthcare, artificial intelligence in education, health promotion, workforce development and practice-based learning.

My research and scholarly activities focus on improving nursing education and healthcare outcomes through evidence-based approaches, digital technologies and collaborative practice. I am committed to creating inclusive learning environments that support student success and prepare future nurses to meet the changing needs of healthcare.
