About me
I work as a Lecturer for the MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at UWE in the School of Social Sciences. I also work internationally as an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and focusing-oriented therapist. I am originally from Italy and have been living in the UK for over two decades, gaining considerable experience in the Education and Mental Health sectors. In my previous academic roles I worked as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Warwick for the UG and PG programmes in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also covered a number of roles as a Senior Lecturer in the fields of Culture, Languages and Education at the University of Birmingham and Regent's University London.
Area of expertise
I am passionate about human relations and how they evolve depending on the contexts in which they are being negotiated. I am keen to understand the relationships between people from different cultural backgrounds, and how these relations can add new holistic perspectives on life. This passion informs my cross-disciplinary research and inspires my day-to-day teaching and therapeutic practices across borders.
