About me

I am a Senior Lecturer in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, leading the PG Cert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. I also teach on the BA Education programme, including modules on Educational Policy and Becoming a Researcher, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation students.

Area of expertise

My work centres on the practical application of learning and teaching principles, with a focus on bridging theory and practice. I am particularly interested in generative AI and digital education, exploring how these can be used in actionable ways to enhance teaching and learning. I take a solution-focused, pragmatic approach, aiming to cut through jargon and support educators to implement clear, evidence-informed strategies.

My current doctoral research examines generative AI as a dialogic learning partner, exploring how higher education educators engage with it and how this may inform or extend existing frameworks such as Laurillard’s Conversational Framework.
