About me
I am a senior lecturer on the BA Hons Animation undergraduate degree, where I lead the teaching and training in 3D/Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) animation and visual effects (VFX).
Prior to accepting this position, I worked for over a decade at a number of well-respected animation and VFX companies such as Framestore, Double Negative, Senate VFX - and particularly at Aardman, where I served for seven years in the CGI commercials and short film department.

When schedules permit, I continue to work professionally as a freelance 3D/CGI artist. Such work allows me not only to keep abreast of the latest developments in the fast-moving world of CGI/VFX, but also to maintain and develop useful industry contacts.
Area of expertise
My specialist areas are that of 3D/CGI animation and VFX. I also hold a Ph.D in Architecture from the University of Sheffield (although there is little direct call for my architectural research experience in my current employ!)
