About me

I am a Lecturer in Robotics at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), based at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL). I am currently undertaking a PhD at UWE-Bristol, focusing on human-like robot grasping and manipulation for soft fruits. My research explores how robots can perform dexterous and adaptive manipulation of delicate, deformable objects, with applications in agri-tech and soft robotics.

I hold an MSc in Robotics from a joint programme between the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).

My academic interests include:

  • Dexterous manipulation and force control

  • Teleoperation and human-robot interaction

  • Learning from demonstration and reinforcement learning

  • Vision-Language and Vision-Language Action Models (VLMs, VLAs) in robotics

  • Intelligent and adaptive control in unstructured environments

I am particularly interested in combining data-driven learning with control theory to enable safe, generalisable, and human-like robotic behaviours.
