About me
Tanya is an HCPC registered and BPS Chartered Counselling Psychologist. She is also an Associate Fellow of the BPS, an Executive Committee member of the Division of Counselling Psychology and a BPS Senior Practitioner Specialising in Psychotherapy. Tanya has had 13 years of clinical and managerial experience at the Priory Hospital North London. She has also been in clinical practice within the NHS, private practice and university counselling services.
Tanya has significant experience supporting people across neurotypes, and, as well as having written articles on Mindfulness, she facilitated Mindfulness Groups for 5 years.
Tanya completed her doctoral training at City University, London in the area of evolution and human connection and has particular interest in Neurodiversity and different Neurotypes, Psychodynamic approaches and attachment in research, clinical and supervisory practice.
Tanya began teaching in 2017, she has had experience co-leading an MSc Counselling programme as well as supervising dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Tanya has been involved in giving talks to the public, contributing in written articles for the media and radio interviews and has a keen interest in public engagement about Counselling Psychology and mental health.
Tanya is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
