About me
I recently studied MSc Cyber Security at University of the West of England. I'm a Sri Lankan and I was working for the Sri Lankan Government as an Information officer. Meanwhile I was working as a part time Lecturer at a government institute. My subject areas were Database Management systems, Advanced Database Management Systems, Enterprise Security and Introduction to computer.
Considering my academic journey, I did my BSc (Hons) at Eastern University, Sri Lanka. I studied Computer Science, Physics and Applied Maths to achieve a second class upper division in BSc. It opened me to be an assistant lecturer in physics at Eastern University for one year. After that I was working as an Information officer to the prime minister, Ministry of defense and department of government Information for five years.
Throughout the time I used to work as a part time lecturer at a government institution to keep my subject knowledge updated. I finished Master of Information Technology (MIT) in 2019, completing one of my biggest goals. UWE was a whole package of knowledge, fun, enthusiasm which veered my life off the cause. I enjoyed studying MSc Cyber Security at UWE a lot. During my life as a student, I worked on volunteer projects time to time which helped me to gain lots of experiences and knowledge. I work as a student ambassador at UWE for more than six months. I participated in DAIGO5 which was a collaboration programme of UWE and Daughters of Africa.
I would love to do Arts and Crafts to make myself calm. I love to do Iris Folding, Paper Quilling and Origami. Social Media Post making allows me to polish my creativity. I'm a youtuber (Learn with Minti) which I use a platform to educate students who are willing to learn more on computer related topics in a simple explanation.
To achieve the goals, we must get out from our own bubble and move from the comfort zone. Where you put your heart in it, it can take you anywhere. I have entangled in a series of random and statically impossible events so far and I achieved lots of experiences.
