About me
Academic Leadership and Programme Development
I am a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for Year 3 of the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, with a professional background in operational policing. I provide leadership across teaching, assessment, curriculum design, and quality assurance, working collaboratively with quality teams, external examiners, professional services, apprenticeship stakeholders, and students.
Inclusive Practice, Student Support, and Equality
In line with institutional values, I actively champion inclusive pedagogy and learner‑centred approaches. I have introduced assessment optionality to support neurodiverse students and enhance accessibility, contributing positively to student experience and engagement.
My role involves significant pastoral and academic support. I have also worked proactively with students returning from breaks in learning, designing bespoke study and assessment pathways to support progression, retention, and inclusion. This includes forward‑coursing arrangements for students facing significant life events such as pregnancy, enabling completion of their studies prior to maternity leave.
