About me
Dr. Trupti Padiya is a senior lecturer at the School of Computing and Creative Technologies, University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. She is the deputy program leader for BSc(Hons) Computer Science.
Dr. Padiya's research specialism covers multiple specializations of computer science including distributed databases and query processing, semantic modelling, knowledge graphs, and data interoperability and interpretability to support various applications in AI. She is a co-investigator in a DARE UK Project funded by UKRI - TREvolution: New £6.2 million programme to build and test new capabilities for sensitive data research - DARE UK. She is also collaborating on a Horizon Europe project - GREENGAGE: GREENGAGE | GREENGAGE project
Before joining UWE, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher with the Scientific Data Management group at TIB, Germany. She collaborated in various EU-funded projects e.g. Platoon, P4-LUCAT, and TrustKG. Before that, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Jena, Germany in a collaborated project with the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) Institute of Data Science, Jena, Germany. She also contributed to the Citizen Science (CS) Interoperability Experiment (IE) under the OGC Innovation Program. She was awarded research grant funding from the University of Jena under the Impulse program. She received her PhD in ICT from DA-IICT India.
