About me

I am an Associate lecturer in Human Resource Management. I teach on the Contemporary Business Issue module covering key areas such as Globalisation, Inequality and New ways of working.

I am a member of the HR Work and Employment Research group and a PhD Student at UWE. My research aims to explore the expectation of volunteers within the context of motivation and how voluntary organisations provide a meaningful and rewarding experience for their volunteers to enhance long term commitment.

Recently, I have worked alongside Dr Sarah-Lousie Weller (Assoc. Director, UWE) on a HEIF funding project. This was to collaborate with a local science and education charity within the UK, to re-imagine their vision for volunteering. We focused on the attraction, development and retention of diverse and talented volunteers.

In 2020, I achieved an MSc in Human Resource Management with a dissertation on corporate induction and onboarding for new employees.
I previously worked as a Career Development Advisor within a large UK charity, driving and coordinating employee development projects and services around England, Scotland and Wales.

Area of expertise

Human Resource Management (HRM), Third sector studies (volunteers, voluntary organisations, non-profit).
