About me
Christoforos has been awarded a PhD in Sociology at the University of Edinburgh. He also holds a BSc in International and European Economic Studies from Athens University of Economics and Business and a Master of Arts in Social and Political Thought from the University of Warwick.
Area of expertise
Christoforos' main research interests lie in the interrelations among philosophy, sociological theory, social psychology, and organisation studies. He is currently working on a tetralogy of outputs for his project of defining Immanent Idealism as an alternative path for social ontology, meta-ontology, and epistemology, by critically drawing on the traditions of critical realism, social constructionism and pragmatism.
This is the project of new idealism in human studies; and Christoforos is the first to propose a new idealism for social ontology and the theory of social behaviour, contra recent influential tendencies in the traditions of new materialism and practice theories. The ultimate aim of this effort is to found new idealism as a new interdisciplinary platform framework for knowledge exchange among the various fields of social research.
