About me
I am a PhD candidate in the School of Theology at St. Mary's University undertaking phenomenology grounded qualitative research at the intersection of Christianity and healthcare practice within the NHS. I teach on the MSc Specialist Community Public Health Nursing in the School of Health and Social Wellbeing at UWE Bristol.
Academically, my research focusses on religious identity in healthcare practice but I also take an interest in religion as a social determinant of health, and public and professional discourse on child mental health and overdiagnosis. I have worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, alongside men who present a higher risk of violence and aggression and alongside school age children (5-19 years old). I spent several years working in NHS corporate services.
I am a Christian Faith Representative and I am available for one-to-one conversations, pastoral care and advice from a faith perspective. For futher information, please refer to the UWE Chaplaincy webpage.
