About me

I hold a PhD in Health Policy & Economics and have been working as an associate professor at ARUMS since 2017. During my time there, I also served as the Director of the Social Determinants of Health Research Center (SDHRC). Currently, I am a Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics at UWE and an Editorial Board Member of BMC Public Health Journal. My research interests are focused on health economic evaluation, health economics, and health service research. I have published more than 70 papers in reputable journals such as Epidemiology and Health, Scientific Reports, Frontier of Public Health, BMC Series, and Cost Effectiveness and Resource Allocation.

Throughout my career, I have attracted several national and international research grants as a Principal Investigator (PI) and have led several research teams in my area of expertise. One of the most prestigious grants I have attracted as a PI was in the field of Social Determinants of Health (SDH) and non-communicable diseases entitled "Measuring and Modelling Social Capital and Determining its Relationship with the Metabolic and Behavioral Risk Factors of Non-Communicable Diseases at National and Subnational Level in Iran" from National Institute for Medical Research Development (NIMAD).

I have extensive knowledge and experience in working with individual/patient-level big data and managing large datasets. As an active data analyst of the PERSIAN cohort study in Iran, I have been working on 84 million data from 200,000 Iranians aged 35 to 70 from 17 provinces of Iran. In addition to my research work, I have also served as a mentor to several students and junior researchers. I am committed to advancing the field of health economics and making a positive impact on healthcare policy and practice through my research contributions.
