About me

I am the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Health at the University of the West of England, Bristol. This is a two-year internal secondment opportunity, working with key colleagues and external stakeholders, developing the Integrated Care Academy at the University.  This role reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and involves wider strategic activities.

The Integrated Care Academy is primarily focused on establishing a transformative relationship with our health and social care partners and pioneering patient-centric care models, sustainable health practices, and workforce development strategies, setting benchmarks for national and international best practices. By breaking traditional boundaries, the ICA will serve as a living lab and centre of excellence, fostering collaboration among individuals, organizations, industries, and partnerships to innovate research, education, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer.

I am a Principal Fellow within Advance HE, a Fellow of the Leadership Foundation in Higher Education and a Fellow of the College of Radiographers which provides an enormous sense of pride and privilege to be in a position to support others through mentorship and coaching. I am also a member of the Vice Chancellor's Executive Team and the University's advocate and champion for neurodiversity across the organisation. Creating a growth mindset and transforming lives through education and scaffolded support are important values.

Currently, I am an appointed governor as part of the corporation board membership at the City of Bristol College, an appointed Trustee at the Council of Deans of Health, a member of the Academic Health Science Centre in the BNSSG area and work closely with a number of partner organisations including Health Education England, NHS England, Avon and Somerset Police. I am also a Non-Executive Director at the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

My research and knowledge exchange areas include exploring the development of hybrid practitioners within healthcare and education, Leadership redesign for Allied Health Professions, EDI work and service provision mapping.
