Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain Mastoi is a senior faculty member at the University of the West of England, Bristol, with extensive expertise in Explainable AI, Transfer Learning, Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), IoT, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain Technology. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, where her research focused on developing interdisciplinary solutions that bridge the gap between advanced technologies and real-world applications.

Her work emphasizes the development of sustainable, innovative solutions and has been widely recognized within the research community. Notably, she was awarded the Global Talent Award under the Exceptional Talent program by the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to engineering and technology.

In addition to her academic role, Dr. Mastoi serves as a Quality Assurance Moderator, ensuring the maintenance of high academic standards across courses, modules, and assessments. She is also an active member of several IEEE societies and councils, including the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, the IEEE Nanotechnology Council, and the IEEE Sensors Council, where she regularly participates in initiatives and workshops aimed at advancing global research standards.

Dr. Mastoi also contributes to the academic community as a Technical Reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, such as PLOS ONE, Journal of Supercomputing, Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience, Mathematical Problems in Engineering, BioMed Research International, IEEE Sensors, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and Scientific Programming.
