About me
Multidisciplinary Technical Educator with 10+ years’ experience in Higher Education, specialising in fabrication across digital and traditional processes. I design and deliver inclusive, practice-led teaching that bridges craft and technology (laser cutting, digital embroidery, CAD/CAM). Known for my collaborative approach, I support curriculum development, specialist technical advice, and cross-disciplinary projects, while maintaining high standards of health and safety. I actively integrate emerging technologies, including electronic textiles, into teaching, with sustainability and material innovation at the core of my practice.
Prior to the new Technical Educator role, Zarya has been a specilaist Senior Technical Instructor in digital embroidery and laser cutting working across and with all courses and levels.

Zarya Moskovits is a Technical Educator within CATE at UWE Bristol, leading technical provision in Multidisciplinary Fabrication. They work in partnership with academic teams to shape and deliver innovative, practice-based learning experiences for students.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Technical Educator, Zarya provides leadership across technical services, including:

Leading and developing a team of technical staff

Supporting curriculum delivery through technical teaching and guidance

Overseeing resources, facilities, and specialist equipment

Driving innovation in teaching practices and technical capability

Ensuring safe and effective working environments
They also contribute directly to teaching, supporting students in Digital Embroidery & Laser Cutting.

Their expertise includes CAD CAM design and production, material literacy, Textiles specialist, Digital Embroidery specialist, Laser Cutting, digital print, ‘Material’s & Make’ overview of physical and digital fabrication areas and teams , pedagogy
