Area of expertise

My principal educational and research interests revolve around ASD and SEN, with particular regard to questions of intervention, monitoring, evaluation and impact. I have an extensive knowledge of Special Educational Needs, and within this terrain, Autism and other hidden disorders, and have maintained my expertise through a platform of ongoing engagement with the field.
I am currently employed at UWE as an Associate Lecturer, and addition to my role as a Research Associate. I teach across different department and modules (Social Science) where I am responsible for a planning, delivery and assessment process.

I have also contributed to a range of INSET days in primary and secondary settings, developing and delivering the training programs about SEN, Autism, Educational strategies and interventions in respect of a challenging behaviour, policy making and assessment scrutiny.

I am a proud Academy Councillor advising the senior leadership in a policing regarding behaviour and learning strategies. I was also recently approached to contribute to the panel delivering the national project under a title of: Oral Health Improvement in Special Education Settings.
