About me

I am an Associate Professor in Data Science at the UWE Bristol. My research applies artificial intelligence, data science, optimisation, and mathematical modelling to complex real-world problems. I have an interdisciplinary research background spanning machine learning, optimisation, game theory, and intelligent systems, with a particular interest in developing practical, data-driven approaches for more efficient, sustainable, accessible, and inclusive systems, especially in cities, mobility, and urban environments.

Prior to joining UWE, I held academic and research positions at Innopolis University, Russia, and Kyung Hee University, South Korea, where I completed my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering in 2017. I have published widely in international journals and conferences and have received several research awards, including the Best Thesis Award in Engineering from Kyung Hee University and multiple best paper awards.
