About me
I hold a PhD in Information Technology Management with a specialization in Business Intelligence (2017), a Master of Science in Information Technology Management (Advanced Information Systems), backed with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. My academic background is complemented by over a decade of professional experience in data science, across the clean energy, financial/banking, and cybersecurity industries with national-scale projects.
A brief of a number of my industrial professional projects:
-
Deepfake and Liveness Detection
Led the development of advanced deepfake and liveness detection systems to enhance security in banking and financial services using customer video data. This solution helps prevent identity fraud during remote onboarding and authentication. -
Facial Verification Using Government-Verified Images
Led a team to designed and implemented facial recognition algorithms to verify customer identities by matching selfies with government-issued image records. This streamlines digital onboarding while ensuring regulatory compliance. -
AI-Based Login Risk Assessment
Developed an AI-driven model to assess login risk and detect fraudulent access attempts on digital banking platforms. The system quantifies behavioral and contextual signals to support real-time fraud prevention. -
Customer Segmentation via Large-Scale Clustering
Led a large-scale clustering project to segment customers based on millions of financial and non-financial data points. The insights support personalised services, and strategic decision-making. -
Forecasting Clean Energy Demand and Supply
Created predictive models to forecast clean energy production and consumption in the UK electricity market. These forecasts support grid optimisation and policy planning for sustainable energy transition. - Smart Signature Detection and Cropping
Led a team to developed an intelligent image processing algorithm to automatically detect and extract handwritten signatures (wet signatures) from user-submitted images. This solution enhances document verification workflows in digital platforms.
My primary research interests lie in the practical dimensions of artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on ethics, across diverse domains.
Always committed to continuous professional development and actively seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge in ways that benefit personal growth, improve and supports others, and contribute to a broader progress of the globe.
