About me
Research Associate at the University of West of England (UWE), conducting research individually and as part of various research teams in order to meet objectives of the Centre for Sustainable Planning and Environments (SPE). This includes new projects to enhance SPE research under the themes of healthy places, green infrastructure, climate adaptation and community planning.
Background before academia was across government and politics, media, charities, professional bodies and trades associations, the international travel industry and banking.
Former Cabinet member Equalities and Social Inclusion and London Councillor (2002-2006). Aide and parliamentary researcher during the Blair administration, working for government minister and Manchester MP Graham Stringer (Cabinet Office and Government Whip). Also, six months secondment as parliamentary officer for Amicus the trades union - representing 17 industrial/voluntary sectors.
