About me

I have several years of experience in data science and its application in multidisciplinary subjects. I am an honorary research fellow at Imperial College London in the school of medicine (Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction).

Area of expertise

I am a data scientist and my research includes software development, data analysis and visualisation, bioinformatics and data mining as a result of big dataset projects. I was research co-applicant on a BBSRC clinical trial project with Exeter University, using Bioinformatic (bacterial analysis) to examine the tongue microbiome & nitric oxide bioavailability across the human lifespan. I was a BBSRC research co-applicant in a previous position in the School of Biosciences (Cardiff University) where I was the data lead on improving diagnosis in diarrheal infections collaborating with Public Health Wales. Previous positions that I have research experience in are outbreak science, climate change, the aging population, marine and population medicine, where Data Science has been used to find a solution to real-life problems.
