Area of expertise
Anne Eason DCrimJ, is an Associate Head of Dept. (Policing) at the University of the West of England, UK, overseeing the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship. She is also a Trustee of The Wheels Project, Bristol, a charitable organisation that provides alternative education for young people who need support in the development of vocational and social capital. A former Senior Probation Officer, her operational expertise is in the field of risk assessment and management of high risk of harm offenders and her research interests are in domestic abuse and violent offences against women and girls, emotional intelligence and decision-making in police education. Recent research focuses on trauma informed practices with sexual offenders and children's perception of police and racial discrimination.
