About me

Arnaud joined UWE after 10 years as a lecturer/senior lecturer in Metamaterials at the University of Exeter. He had previously  learned his craft as a posdoctoral assistant at the University of Bath (Chemistry department) and Queen's University Belfast (Physics department).

His research is in the field of materials science and engineering, particularly simulation (atomistic or macrocospic)  of materials with exotic properties (Negative Poisson's Ratio, Negative Linear Compressibility, Negative Thermal Expansion). In 2013 he was awarded a RAEng Industrial Secondment Fellowship to develop structural Cardboard Engineering applications with Smurfit Kappa Barnstable.
