About me
I am a lecturer in Economics. My area of specialisation is macroeconomics and finance. In particular I am interested in role of financial market frictions in generating business cyle. I am also interested in Bayesian estimation and use of big data in Economics, especially in general equilibrium modelling.
I have been in higher education for last 10 year working in public and private sector universities. I have worked in universities and higher education institutions in Australia, the Maldives and the UK. I am Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
In addition to teaching, I am actively involved in internationalisation of higher education, awarding gap and employability of students.
My adminstrative roles with the department also includes programme leadership for BA/BSc (Hons) Economics. In addition, I am currently the cluster lead for employability.
I have also been awarded Vice Chancellor's Early Career Researcher Award for the year 2021-22. My ECR award aims to develop a framework through which natural capital can be integrated into macroeconomic models.
