About me
I am South African born and educated. I taught Mathematics for 10 years in various high schools before taking up a post in the Dept of Computational Mathematics at the University of Witwatersrand where I taught for 5 years. The teaching involved a lot of work developing Television lectures to support student learning. As early as 1974 I became involved in the development of audio-workbooks for teaching mathematics. This field is now well supported at UWE where I have made good use of Blackboard and the Kaltura platform to provide video-commentaries aligned to interactive workbooks for all my lessons.
I have been at UWE since 1993 when I started as a visiting lecturer.
