I'm passionate about making a team work together to achieve common goals. With empathy and dedication, I help everyone in my team reach their full potential. In 2015, I joined the University of the West of England, Bristol as a Lecturer, progressing to Senior Lecturer, Programme Leader, and currently serving as Associate Director for Mobility Technologies. In this role, I lead the Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies programmes, while advancing research through industry collaboration. Area of expertise

Dr Budi Chandra is a senior lecturer in Aerospace Engineering at UWE Bristol. He obtained his Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University, USA, with a doctoral dissertation on flows in turbine engine oil sumps. His area of expertise includes Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, and Aero-Propulsion. Experience includes a previous role as a research fellow at Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre conducting research campaigns related to liquid and gas flows. Some highlights include the development of measurement techniques (for oil residence volume in aero-engine bearing chamber, film thickness, oil mist concentration), design optimization of aero-engine sump geometries, PIV measurements on convective heat flow, high-speed imaging combined with thermal imaging of droplets impacting on moving film, and novel oil-scoop delivery system for aero-engine bearings.
