About me
I trained as an Economist in a mainstream programme (UCLA), but focused my attention on the (missing) role of banks and financial institutions in driving successful economic performance. After the 2007-09 crisis, I recognized that financial regulation was driving dysfunction in the real economy, and studied law in order to understand how lawyers view financial regulation. Now I work on Macrofinance with an emphasis on the evolution of financial regulation, which I argue, when it is done well, forms the essential infrastructure of economic growth. I have received an HEIF grant, and am currently seeking a fellowship that will allow me to focus on my research full-time.
