About me
Over the last 13 years, I have taught Secondary school Computer Science (ICT). The curriculum for this subject includes Computational Thinking, Algorithmic Problem Solving, Software Development, Database Development, Programming, Information Systems, eCommunication, Networking and Computer Theory.
I have, subsequently, developed a Coding Curriculum for Primary School and one for Junior High schoolers that includes Web Development, Animation, Desktop Publishing, YouTubing, Game Development and Movie Making.
Being able to draw on experiences from a wide range of
industries, has helped support my transition into higher education. My current role
involves me organising the Teaching and Learning context, within the Department
of Education primarily and within the wider context of the faculty secondarily,
so that all staff habitually employ higher-order learning processes in their
practices, through the incorporating of technologies.
Area of expertise
Computer Science Education using a digital game-based learning approach.
